This is my first attempt to make my own background. It worked out somewhat OK but now I've messed up my arrangement. Hopefully I'll figure this all out and it will look normal. So please excuse my mess...UNDER CONSTRUCTION! :o)

So last night I was bored and decided to take some pictures of my peeps! Check these out!

HI! Since I've been back from Idaho I've mostly been cleaning because Randy is a slob! HAHA! Yesterday his parents came through town to pick up his niece in La Grande for Spring Break. They stopped by on the way back and we took them to lunch since his mom's birthday was a couple days before. It was nice and Randy had them put the sombraro on his mom and sing, it was funny, but I'm glad it wasn't me! Afterwards they came by for a little while and just visited and left around 3 or ... I got some flower seeds to start in the house. My tomatoes and cucumbers I planted inside are starting to come up now, so I thought I'd try some flowers. We'll see how it goes! So it was a pretty relaxing afternoon.

Well, it's been a few days so I thought I better get on here and post what I've been up to...not that it's that exciting but just in case anyone had a desperate need to know! :o) Friday I went to Nampa to visit my mom and see a few friends. My mom and I did some shopping, rented movies, sewed some quilts, and ate A LOT! It was nice, especially now since she's had her knee done, she's feeling better and moving around better. I also saw my friend Ruth a couple times...just stopped by her work and hungout and then went to the movies with my friends Delma and Chris and their daughters. First we ate at Red Robin then got our tickets to the movies...then to the dollar store to get some treats and waste time. We had a good time in there teasing each other about all sorts of items! We saw Last House On The Left...it was pretty good! Oh...and one day we were pulling my car in the garage and tried to close the door and it fell on my head! So my car was stuck in there until today. I also found out today that I won the contest I entered for my layout that I posted on the 6th! I was pretty excited since it was the first time I had entered anything. I got a $25 gift cert. to the website I entered my layout in, so that was nice...nothing major but hey, it's free merchandise...which I've already spent on some more digital kits!!! So I came home today and I think Ellie has gained back all of the weight and some more since she was sick! Wish I had more time in Nampa but it will be nice to be in my own bed tonight!!!

So today I didn't do much, a little cleaning and laundry and that was about it until Randy came home. After he came home we went out to Virtue Flat with the guns and looked for whistle pigs. It was still cold today but at least it was nice and sunny. It was pretty fun! Here are a few pics...

So, today I managed to get out of the getting up early thing, which made me very happy! Of course today we had to go and try out the new toy Randy got at the Gun Show yesterday. We took a couple other guns too. I shot the AK47 for the 1st time, which was pretty fun. I thought it would have a lot more kick than it did, but my favorite is still the Ruger 22 Pistol. It's small and light and A LOT quieter! It was really cold out today or I would have wanted to stay out there longer but it started snowing and I was done! That was pretty much the excitement of the day...came home and watched TV. I'm hoping to get to Idaho at the end of the week. Hopefully the dogs cooperate with me this week and both stay well! Not much else today...hope everyone remembered to set their clocks forward last night!

Nothing real exciting happened today. Ellie is back to herself in full force! She thinks she is starving all the time, which she probably is...she lost a lot of weight. She is supposed to be on a special diet...small amounts of special food 3 or 4 times a day. So far we have stuck to it but had to add a little more or else she's trying to get into the trash because she's so hungry. We didn't do much today, Randy got up early to go cougar hunting but came home around 9:30 and hadn't got anything. He said he saw all kinds of other animals and wants to take me out there tomorrow EARLY in the morning. I'm not a morning person so I don't know how well that is going to go over...we'll see. I would love to take some pictures but not at the expense of my nice warm bed! We went to the Gun Show today and somehow I came home with a $10 jar of jam and he came home with a gun and LOTS of ammo! I'm not sure exactly how that worked! Oh well...it makes him happy and then when I want to spend money he can't say much HAHA! Tonight he made dinner, which he cooked ONE of the many steelhead in the freezer. It was hard keeping Ellie away from it, she really wanted some! I don't know if I ever put on here what exactly made her sick...it was Salmon Poisoning! Dogs are the only animals that can get it and it is from eating raw salmon, steelead and couple other things. It is an micro organism that gets into a parasite that gets into the fish and the if the dog eats it, the dog gets it and it wreaks havoc on them. Crazy! So don't feed your dogs raw steelhead or salmon...we learned the hard way! Not much else to say except that I'm glad we're setting the clocks forward because that means it won't get dark so early and since it decided to snow again tonight I'm REALLY looking forward to more sunshine!!!

ELLIE IS HOME! She is totally back to her normal HIGH ENERGY self so far! I was hoping just a little of that would have went away but I'm just glad she's well. So tonight I've been working on a new layout. I'm going to submit it for a contest on a digital scrapbooking website (acherryontop.com). The theme was pets so I used this picture AGAIN because I think it's cute and I love it. Let me know what you think!

I'm excited...we get to take Ellie home today. The doctor called this morning and said she's kept all of her food down and has twice the energy she's had. So, I get to go get her in a couple hours! She has to have a couple different pills when she comes home and lots of water and just take it easy for a few days. I'm so glad she's ok...I'm sure it won't be long and she'll be her naughty self again :o)

Ok...so I've become addicted to this digital scrapbooking. I'm pretty new at it so I'm still learning but it is so much fun and A LOT less messy then conventional scrapbooking. I just finished this layout and wanted to post it! You will notice...I also take A LOT of pictures of myself and of course my dogs...because there's not much else when I'm just sitting around!

Well...I haven't had too much to blog about the last few days, other than worrying about Ellie, She is still at the Vet's. She didn't have a temp today so that was good, but since she couldn't keep food down yesterday they had to withhold it again until today and give her more meds. Today they gave her some food at 3pm and she kept it down and when I went back around 5:30 she had kept it down and they had tried some more. I'm hoping she can keep it down tonight so she can come home tomorrow. Poor little dog...today she didn't want to go back in her cage at all when I left both times and when I left the 2nd time she whined. I'll be glad when she gets home and feels better and is back to her naughty self :o).

So that has been what has consumed my last couple days. I had planned on going to Idaho for the week but that put a damper on that. Now it's snowing so the roads won't be good. Maybe next weekend...we'll see. I miss my friends in Nampa! Now, I've just been messing around doing some more digital scrapbooking. Here are a few more pages I've done while worrying about Ellie.

This morning the Dr called and said she seems a little better, she still has a little bit of a temp so he wants to keep her another night so she can continue gettiing fluids. She ate a little bit this morning and they were going to try and get her to eat some more this afternoon. The blood test came back from Pendleton and her platelets are between low and average so that is good, he said he is not concerned about that anymore. She had a little diarreah also so he wants to get her eating more because she hasn't had much solid food yet. So it looks better today and hopefully she'll get to come home tomorrow. We'll probably go see her when Randy gets home later.

Well today I had to take Ellie to the doctor. She has not been herself for almost a week and last night started throwing up and had diarreah. The Vet said that she has a really high fever and all of her lymph nodes are swollen. He said it could be a bacterial or parasitic infection or some kind of lymphoma. So she has to stay the night and get an IV to bring her fever down and give her antibiotics. I was planning on going to Idaho today but I don't want to leav her, so I'll have to plan that trip for another day. I hope she feels better and they can take care of it with just some antibiotics. Poor little dog looked so sad when I left her!

Today was pretty uneventful...got some cleaning done and messed around on the computer for most of the day. Here are a couple scrapbook pages I did. ENJOY! Both layouts were made using Jeanelle Paige's Sweet Digi Doodles Kit.
